Arun Sagar
Arun Sagar is an Indian theatre and film artist, art director and comedian known for his work mainly in Kannada theatre and film industry. He was trained at Rangayana, Mysore, in both art direction and acting. He is one of the leading art directors in the kannada film industry and he has been recognized for his excellent art direction starting from his very first movie Bhoomi Geetha, which won the national award for the best environmental film. He has won the Karnataka state award for best art direction for his work in the film Sri Manjunatha.
Arun has also worked in several shows on the television. He hosted the show 'Tarrle' which taught art, crafts and painting on Kasturi TV, which was based on the popular program M.A.D. From the Pogo TV. He became popular while working on the show 'Maja with Sruja' that was aired in Asianet Suvarna where he played various comical roles that parodied celebrities and politicians. The show was a huge hit formits satire-comedy structure.
Arun was one of the first contestants for the Big Boss Kannada Season 1, where he emerged as a runner up. He later reprised the comedy genre with a new show, Comedy Circle that was aired on ETV Kannada. He also hosted a one-man show 'Koyyam Kotra' on the same genre which was aired in TV9 Kannada.
Arun has also worked with several veteran directors in other south Indian film industries like Poori Jagannath, Meher Ramesh, Veerashankar and K Raghavendra Rao.
